Go Slow

Caye Caulker is the Caribbean Island that time forgot. If you came here in the 70's it probably doesn't look much different now.  There are no 5 star hotels or chain restraurants here, everything is run by Mom & Pop. It's very popular with backpackers who stay in the many affordable hostels, but there are other options if  you crave a little more luxury and privacy. Caye Caulker is also popular with divers, snorkelers and fisherman, and in future posts I'll get more indepth with activities available.  This video gives a nice short tour of the island, you get the vibe here-laid back.

Haydn and I spent 4 nights on this lovely little island. We stayed at "Yuma's House" and had a great time! Because we were budget traveling, we decided to enjoy the island on our own! We rented bikes, hung out at the beach and tried out some new foods!
